              Some owners are happy with a few commands for their dog; but some want much, much more. Perhaps expectations of hiring a dog to work with was in mind rather than the mere existance of a couch potato. If you dreamed of having a dog that works with you side by side- with communication skills clearly above the average dog-Advanced Training is for you!
           The earliest relationships between man and dog were those based on teamwork. For example, a job as simple as "barking" alerted the farmer about the presence of predators near his animals. Good Boy!
         Through the years, specific breeds were developed for specialized tasks. Dogs excelled at retrieving, herding, searching and protecting. These animals were engineered with a specific job in mind. Now, you may not have an occupation that provides your dog with work his grandfathers were bred for, but his willingness to work as a team will always be inside. So give your dog a job!
 
 
Dogs Au Gratin
        Hanging out on the couch all day may be fine for some dogs but in a great number of households its a recipe for disaster. Having too much time on one's paws without supervision could lead to unwanted behavior. Can you imagine?.... hundred miles an hour down the hallway with the coffee filter....repotting the house plants.......What's more fun than pillow shredding? It would certainly be a better idea to provide such a dog with a specific job before he creates his own.

           The greatest achievement people earn from continuing to advance their dog's training is the amazing "bond" that is created. A dog that participates with its owner throughout the day taking instruction & receiving praise feels like its part of the family. A pack animal left behind a fence all day will certainly be curious of what's on the other side. If a dog receives no instruction and senses there is no one to follow he may feel-"Someone can follow me--It's trash night -I'm out of here!"
